### Organization Field Descriptions

**organization\_id (PK)**
Unique ID assigned to the Altrata Organization. These IDs enable consistent mapping to other entity IDs within Altrata. Example: 1-org-14994 – Sun Microsystems, Inc

**date\_extinct**
Date year, month, and day when the Organization ceases to exist. Example: 2009-04-01 – Sun Microsystems, Inc

**date\_founded**
Date year, month, and day when the Organization was established. Example: 2009-04-01 – Sun Microsystems, Inc

**email\_domain**
The email domain that is associated with the organization. Example: @microsoft.com

**website**
The website associated with the organization. Example: [http://www.idealab.com](http://www.idealab.com)

**organization\_name**
The full organization display name. Example: Meta

**organization\_alternate\_name**
Alternate name of the organization, a name used by an organization instead of or in addition to the Organization's legal name. Example: Meta Platforms Inc.

**ticker\_primary**
Stock ticker symbols associated to official stock exchange listings of the organization.
Example:  META

**head\_office\_address**
Business Address, the primary office Address of an organization or company.
Example:  130 WEST UNION STREET, PASADENA, CA, 91103

**head\_office\_country**
The country where the Head Office of a company is located.
Example:  130 WEST UNION STREET, PASADENA, CA, 91103

**head\_office\_zip**
The Zip code of the Organization’s Head office.
Example:  91103

**head\_office\_state**
The state of the Organization’s Head Office.
Example: California

**head\_office\_city**
The city of the Organization’s Head Office.
Example: Pasadena

**head\_office\_latitude**

The geographic latitude coordinate of the organization's head office location, stored with up to 4 decimal places of precision.

**head\_office\_longitude**

The geographic longitude coordinate of the organization's head office location, stored with up to 4 decimal places of precision.

**organization\_type**
Denotes the nature or type of business.
Example: Public, Private, Charity

**sector\_primary**
Company Sector Information associated to the organization.
Example: Investment Banking & Brokerage, IT Consulting & Services, Computer Software.

**industry\_primary**
A more granular industry vertical associated to the organization.
Example: Banking & Finance, Business & Consumer Services, Technology.

**ultimate\_parent\_id (FK)**
The Unique ID of Ultimate Parent Company - the topmost company within the hierarchy of the organization.
Example: 1203740 – KKR & Co., Inc

**ultimate\_parent\_name**
The name of Ultimate Parent Company - the topmost company within the hierarchy of the organization.
Example: ELBIT SYSTEMS LTD

**political\_party**
The name of a political party a donation is given to.

**organization\_charitable\_cause\_primary**

For charitable organizations, this is their primary charitable cause.

**organization\_phone\_number\_primary
**
The most trusted phone number (e.g., latest) of the organization.

**is\_private\_equity\_organization**

A private equity (PE) organization is a firm that raises capital from investors (like pension funds, endowments, high-net-worth individuals) to buy stakes in companies not listed on public stock markets (or take public companies private), aiming to grow their value through operational improvements, strategic guidance, and restructuring, then selling them later for profit.

**is\_private\_equity\_investment**

A private equity (PE) investment is a firm that is fully or partially owned by a PE organization, with the aim of growing the value of the PE investment firm realize a return through an exit (e.g., sale, IPO, or recapitalization).

**is\_corporate\_advisor**

Whether a company is an advisor to another company, e.g., a financial advisor.

**has\_corporate\_advisor**

Whether a company has an advisor, e.g., a financial advisor.
