the altrata managed package allows for select fields to be populated with altrata data on a recurring basis, ensuring data accuracy, via the data controls tab within the altrata app this is limited to the following standard objects leads , contacts , and/or person acounts note that the data integration capabilities are not limited to these select fields custom objects are generated as part of the integration to store additional data points these are highlighted for configuration to avoid situations where your data may be overwritten on standard objects configuring data controls by default, no fields are mapped and no data preferences are selected data preference options override overwrites existing salesforce data on the selected field with altrata data use with caution once the override is set for a field, the original data is not retained if the override is later disabled or removed, the field will remain populated with the altrata data unless new data is manually inputted by the user the override will not occur again if the altrata data for that field changes fill empty option populates empty salesforce fields with altrata data if a field is already populated, no changes will occur to edit the mappings and preferences field by field configuration click into the salesforce field and select a value from the drop down menu this can be a standard or custom field on the selected object select the data control preference option the options are described below click save bulk configuration to apply one data preference control method for all fields click the select all dropdown shown above select the data control preference option click save the salesforce field must be mapped for the bulk actions to take effect
