Installation & Authentication

important reminders before beginning the installation, please ensure the following review the information provided in amp (altrata management portal) and first time login to confirm you have the necessary credentials to proceed thoroughly examine the api authentication section at the end of this document for a complete understanding of the integration process confirm that you have admin privileges to the salesforce instance while you may be able to proceed with the initial installation and configuration without credentials, note that you will not be able to view or synchronize matches and data if you have any questions, please contact support\@altrata com mailto\ support\@altrata com installing the package upon provisioning, you will receive a direct link to the package for installation upon clicking the installation link, credential in to the desired salesforce instance for installation since every salesforce username is unique, verify whether you're installing in a production or sandbox environment before proceeding on the installation page, you will be presented with three installation options while you should select the option that best meets your organization's needs, we recommend proceeding with all users select install for all users this will ensure that your salesforce users will have the ability to utilize the managed package click install approve third party access by clicking yes, grant access to these third party web sites click continue note that you will not be able to proceed with the installation should you decline access the installation will now begin the installation usually takes 5 10 minutes , however, it may take longer in those scenarios, you may be presented with the following message the installation will continue in the background, and an email will be sent to the salesforce administrator upon completion authentication before wider configuration can be completed, it is highly recommended that you authenticate your instance with the provided credentials within salesforce, navigate to the app launcher in the search box, type altrata settings if you cannot locate altrata settings within the app launcher, ensure the application has been installed correctly and that you have the permissions to access navigate to the altrata authentication tab within the altrata app enter the service account username in the username field enter the service account password in the password field enter the api key the api key should have been received via a separate email click verify to authenticate if you receive an authentication error, ensure your credentials have been entered correctly if you continue to encounter an error, contact support\@altrata com mailto\ support\@altrata com for assistance
