these features are not required for day to day use but unlock additional capabilities depending on your tier and workflow data controls âĒ optional (salesforce advanced only) data controls let you populate selected salesforce fields with altrata data on a recurring basis this is only available on salesforce advanced âšī¸ custom objects are populated automatically as part of the integration data controls govern only standard objects (leads, contacts, accounts, person accounts) so you can avoid accidentally overwriting data you care about data preference options each mapped field gets one of two preferences override đ use with extreme caution override replaces existing salesforce data with altrata data once override runs, the original salesforce value is lost â disabling override later does not restore it override also does not re run automatically when altrata data changes, so the field will sit with whatever value was written the last time override ran (until manually edited) fill empty populates the salesforce field only when it's currently empty existing data is left untouched configuring data controls by default, no fields are mapped and no preferences are selected field by field from the altrata settings app, open the data controls tab click into a salesforce field row and pick a target field from the dropdown (standard or custom) choose override or fill empty click save note all altrata owned fields are prefixed with "altrata" bulk use the select all dropdown at the top of the page choose a preference to apply to every mapped field click save â ī¸ bulk actions only affect fields that already have a salesforce field mapped unmapped rows are skipped
