Profile Requests & Credits
Understanding the Credit System
What are credits and how do they work?
Credits are like an internal currency that gives you access to our Diligence Reports and profile requests. Think of them as your pass to high-impact intelligence. Each report type costs a different number of credits based on how comprehensive it is and how quickly we can deliver it. The good news is that credits are included in your subscription, and if you need more, you can purchase additional credits at any time.
Why do I have to use credits?
With the new Altrata platform we are prioritizing profiles of people and companies that will have the highest impact on our client's success. The Credits systems allow us to create a review and research process that maintains the highest level of accuracy on the profiles that are added to the platform.
We’ve enhanced our profile verification process to include additional human and automated validation layers. Requiring credits allows us to maintain these higher data integrity standards, ensuring every update meets the accuracy requirements our customers expect. You’re not just getting a refreshed record, you’re getting verified, trusted intelligence you can act on with confidence.
How do I submit a Profile Request?
There are a few different ways you can submit a request within the web platform. However, the quickest way to is be selecting the "Shortcuts" button near the top right of the page and clicking "New Profile Request"

How many credits are included in my subscription?
It varies based on your subscription tier, the Altrata platform will indicate the number of credits you have in the Request new profile section near the upper right hand corner.

What happens if I run out of credits?
Additional credits can be purchased directly through your Altrata representative whenever you need them. You can buy them a la carte based on your needs.
Understanding What’s in a Profile
What kind of information will I see in the profile?
It depends on which report you request, in most cases profile updates include:
For higher-level reports, you’ll see:
o Professional Profile Build – including career history, education, board positions, memberships, and personal interests.
o Wealth Profile Build – including career history, education, memberships, as well as wealth analysis, wealth categories, and wealth source, family details, donations and interests & hobbies.
For enhanced due diligence and corporate due diligence, you’ll receive:
o Background and reputation checks
o Professional profile data and wealth sources, including net worth
o Sanctions and Politically Exposed People (PEP) checks
o Adverse media like lawsuits, controversies, governance issues, etc.
o Career history and philanthropic activities
o ESF and CSR involvement, both positive and negative
Everything is sourced from reliable, credible information sources, and we’re transparent about where the data comes from. The goal is to give you a clear, objective picture so you can make informed decision. Available profile requests are listed in the profile request manual within the platform.
How reliable is the information in these reports?
We take accuracy very seriously. Our reports use Open-Source Intelligence, or OSINT, which means we pull from official data sources and credible information providers. We prioritize official data, but we also include information from credible secondary sources when relevant, and we always acknowledge the type of source so you know what you’re looking at.
For our manually curated reports, analysts review and verify the information. For AI-driven reports, the system scans and flags key data points quickly, and it’s verified by an analyst.
That said, we always recommend periodic ongoing monitoring because things can change. Our report gives you a snapshot in time, and we make sure it’s as accurate and relevant as possible at the moment of delivery.
